Astrid Leusink is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital currently undertaking a Cancer Research UK (CRUK) funded PhD Fellowship. She completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cape Town in 2013 and is a surgical registrar in the London Deanery.

Miss Jennifer Rusby is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Chief Investigator of the study. She qualified at Oxford University and completed her surgical training in Wessex, Birmingham and at the Royal Marsden. Miss Rusby has undertaken research at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, for which she was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons Arnott Lectureship in 2009.

Miss Rachel O’Connell is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She qualified from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2007 and completed her surgical training in the London Deanery. Miss O’Connell completed a Royal College of Surgeons funded MD research degree at The Royal Marsden & Institute of Cancer Research investigating the utility of 3D-SI in women undergoing lumpectomy surgery for breast cancer.

Mr Aadil Khan read medicine at the University of Oxford before completing his higher surgical training in plastic surgery in the London Deanery. During this time, he was awarded a Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship to pursue a PhD at the Institute of Cancer research and was subsequently awarded an NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship in Plastic Surgery at the Institute of Cancer Research. Mr Khan is a member of the Committee for Clinical Research at the Royal Marsden Hospital and sits on trial steering committees for national trials in plastic surgery.

Mr Theo Nanidis is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He graduated with distinction from University College London Medical School in 2003 and completed his higher surgical training in London. Mr Nanidis was awarded specialist fellowships at the Royal Marsden and Queen Victoria Hospitals.

Dr Anna Kirby is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She currently leads research in novel breast radiotherapy techniques both at the Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer Research. She is the current President of the European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO). Dr Kirby graduated from Cambridge University in 1995 with a first-class honours degree in Medicine and Psychology. She completed her specialist oncology training at the Royal Marsden and Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals, following which she undertook a research degree at the Institute of Cancer Research.

Lisa Wolf undertook her nursing education in Durban, South Africa completing a Bachelor of Social Science (Nursing). She completed her MSc research dissertation at Kings College London focused on the information needs of women undergoing breast reconstruction. She has worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital for number of years as one of the Clinical Nurse Specialists in Breast Care providing information and support to patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Since 2019 she has worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in breast diagnostics.

Professor Fernando Bello is a professor of surgical computing and simulation science in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London. He is developing a breast classification system using 3D-SI together with the ICR research team.
